THE ON ITT! GUIDE
A little less figuring it out.
Start with one thing on your mind. These short guides take you from your first brain dump to a day that feels manageable.
Private beta guide · Updated September 11, 2026. Some controls vary by build. If your screen differs, ask Luke before deleting or reinstalling anything.
01 / YOUR FIRST PLAN
Say it messy. Make it manageable.
- Get into the beta. Request an invitation on the homepage. After approval, follow the invitation to TestFlight and sign in with your invited email. Enter the emailed code only inside ON ITT!.
- Choose how to start. Use Add Task for something you already know you need to do. Use Talk It Through when you want help turning a brain dump into a plan. You can type instead of speaking.
- Give it a little context. Mention a deadline, how much time you have, or what matters most. You don’t need special commands or a perfect list.
- Think it through. Ask for smaller steps or a more realistic approach. Suggestions are a starting point, not a commitment.
- Review, then approve. Check the proposed tasks, dates, times, and project choices before applying the plan. Correct anything that doesn’t fit.
“I have a presentation Friday, groceries to get, and about an hour free tonight. Help me work out where to start.”
Or simply: “I need to organize my apartment. Help me break it down.”
Voice needs device permission, and AI planning needs a connection. AI can misunderstand or suggest an unrealistic plan—always check the result.
02 / YOUR DAY
A plan you can change.
Add or adjust a task
Use + to add a task. Open an existing task to change its date, time, project, or repeat schedule. For a spoken edit, choose Say a change, describe the update, and review it before applying.
Try: “Move this to tomorrow afternoon,” or “Remove the time.” Check the date and time shown in the proposed change.
Move things around
Use the task’s drag handle to change its position. Moving a scheduled task can change its time, and moving it to another day changes its date. Check the destination and saved time after dropping it.
Finish something—and find it later
Tap a task’s completion circle. In the newer beta, completed tasks leave the active list after a brief confirmation. Look for Logbook to revisit completed work rather than keeping it mixed into today.
Set something to repeat
Open the task and choose Repeat. Review the recurrence alongside its date and time. For anything time-critical, double-check the saved schedule and your device’s notification permissions.
03 / CALENDAR
Not everything needs a time slot.
- Schedule
- Things with a date. Select a day to see what belongs there; open the month view when you need a wider view.
- Anytime
- Ready to do, but not assigned to a day. “Choose a new desk lamp” can wait here until you decide when.
- Someday
- Intentionally set aside. “Learn Italian” belongs here if it’s an idea, not a current commitment.
Connect Apple Calendar from the app’s calendar controls and review the permission request. Imported events are calendar commitments, not ON ITT! tasks to check off. In newer builds, ended events move out of the active Today view; that does not delete them from Apple Calendar.
Keep important appointments in your calendar of record. Connecting a calendar is not a promise that every task automatically becomes an Apple Calendar event.
04 / PROJECTS & AREAS
Enough structure. No homework.
- Project
- A finishable outcome: “Move apartment.” Add the steps that get you there.
- Area
- An ongoing responsibility: “Home.” It can hold both individual tasks and projects.
- List
- A simple collection: “Weekend ideas.” Not everything needs an outcome or a deadline.
Start with a project name and a useful next step. If the outcome feels hard to describe, use Talk It Through in the project flow to get suggestions, then review what you want to keep.
Before deleting a project or area, read the confirmation carefully. Removing its structure and deleting its tasks are different actions.
05 / WIDGETS & MAC
Your day, close at hand.
Add a Home Screen widget
Touch and hold your iPhone Home Screen, open the widget gallery, and search for ON ITT!. Choose the size that fits. On supported interactive widgets, tapping a task’s circle completes it; tapping the date opens your day.
If the widget is missing, open ON ITT! once and check again. If it still isn’t available, contact Luke with your build number—don’t delete the app as a first step.
Use ON ITT! on your Mac
Ask Luke for the current Mac beta. Sign in using the same invited ON ITT! email, and use the same Apple Account for iCloud on both devices. Check the sync status before relying on a change appearing elsewhere.
If an update hasn’t arrived, reconnect both devices, open ON ITT!, and check Sync now under Account & Data in Settings. Don’t keep recreating the same task on both devices.
When you’re offline
Saved tasks can remain available offline, but AI planning and new sign-ins need internet access. Cross-device changes must wait for a connection. Beta sync is still being tested; keep a separate record of anything essential.
06 / A LITTLE HELP
Stuck? You don’t have to troubleshoot alone.
My sign-in code hasn’t arrived
Use the email that received your invitation. Check spam and promotions, then use only the newest code. If you’re told you don’t have beta access, contact Luke; signing up and being approved are separate steps. Never send your sign-in code to anyone.
Voice says access is off, but there is no switch
Some beta installations have an unresolved permission issue. Return to ON ITT! and try Check access again. If there is still no Apple permission prompt or microphone setting, use typed entry and contact Luke.
Include the build, iOS version, and device model. You do not need to delete your tasks, reinstall ON ITT!, or reset all privacy settings. Don’t send recordings or transcripts.
A change or task seems missing
Check the date, search, and Logbook, then check sync status. Avoid signing into a different account, clearing data, or reinstalling while investigating. Tell Luke what action you took and on which device, with private content hidden.
